For my first weekly Music Monday post, I thought I’d keep the alliteration going with a track by Mother Mother.  This B.C. band quickly became one of my favourites during last year’s festival, and while I’m still disappointed that I missed their killer show at the Blacksheep, I did manage to catch them a few months ago when they opened for Matthew Good.  Great musicians, excellent vocals, interesting songs – they’re the real deal.

Their last album Body of Years has a lot of great tracks, but my current favourite is probably Hayloft.  The official video is finally on YouTube, and I think it’s pretty cool.  A & K like the song too – K in particular thinks the line “Young lovers with their legs tied up in knots” is funny.  Maybe I’ll explain that one to him sometime in 2017.
