Pinchas sent me the text of Dana Gioia’s commencement speech at Stanford last month. Gioia sounds like an interesting guy – former businessman, respected poet, and the Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts. It’s a great speech that touches on our current culture, the disappearance of arts education, and the transformative power of the arts.It’s all been said before, but I think Gioia says it very eloquently.
