The Soundtrack of my Life

Maurizio recently tagged me in a recent post on his blog. We’re playing a little game called If My Life Was a Movie, What Would the Soundtrack Be?

To paraphrase another blogger, you put your iPod on shuffle and write the name of each song that comes up in sequence against a specific list of scenes in your life – also in sequence.  So, using my spankin’ new iPod, here’s what I came up with:

Opening credits   Cheating on You – Franz Ferdinand

First day of school   I Am Weary (Let Me Rest) – The Cox Family

Falling in love   Hopelessly Devoted to Them – The Housemartins

Prom/GradYour Ex-Lover is Dead – Stars

Mental breakdown   Twist My Arm – The Tragically Hip

Flashbacks   Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band – The Beatles

Getting back togetherBonny Portmore – Loreena McKennitt

Wedding scene   He Used to Cut the Grass – Frank Zappa

Final battle   Disco Boy – Frank Zappa

Death scene   Old Brown’s Daughter – Great Big Sea

Funeral scene   Ecclesiastes: Free My Heart – Me’Shell Ndegéocello

End credits   Over on Fourth Street – Pat Metheny

FinaleLovin’ U – Alicia Keys

Well, some of those are interesting – others are just plain weird.   Over to you, Mr. Anderson. Would you care to play?
